Liothyronine is a synthetic form of the thyroid hormone triiodothyronine (T3), used to treat hypothyroidism and related thyroid disorders. It helps restore normal energy levels, metabolism, and mental function in individuals with low thyroid hormone levels. It is also used in certain cases of thyroid cancer and for diagnostic testing of thyroid function. Liothyronine acts more quickly than levothyroxine (T4), making it useful in specific clinical situations.

Dosage and direction

Storage
